As a coach I am committed to empower women to connect to their true self, obtain clarity of purpose and take action toward living their dream life- whatever that looks like.
I am a mother of 2 amazing adult daughters, a certified psychospiritual life coach, a yoga and meditation practitioner, a Reiki master, and a scuba diver.
When I turned 45 I had a crisis of sorts.
I realized I had achieved my dreams of completing my degrees, getting married, starting a family, having my career, and owning an amazing home. Yet there was this deep-seated feeling of discontentment weighing heavy in my heart. I had accomplished so much, was grateful for my blessings and should have been happy. But I was not. There was something missing.
Then that life unraveled. I got separated and was getting divorced. I was moving through depression, trying to heal from my past. I was a single parent with 2 teenage daughters, confused and scared. I was not in a good place.
But then I had a couple of wake up calls. I lost one good friend to cancer, and then a childhood friend was diagnosed with cancer. I witnessed how this diagnosis took precedence over everything else. These enlightened women showed me that time and health were precious gifts not to be taken for granted.
The phrase “carpe diem,” or seize the day kept repeating in my head. No more self pity. It was time to take action. Every day was a gift and I didn’t want to waste another day disempowered, or in sadness. My dreams could not stay on the back burner any longer. I knew it in my heart. But a few more years passed for me to actually take action.
When I finally took inventory on my life, I realized that without noticing it, I had stopped dreaming. Who was I? What was I passionate about? What was my purpose? Where were my dreams? What could I change to make the rest of my life the best of my life? After much reflection, self work and going deep I answered those and many more questions. When I got clarity, I knew what the next step had to be, and was determined not wait any longer, or make any more excuses. It was up to me to manifest my dreams. My inner voice repeated, “If not now, when?” What WAS I waiting for?
Life was showing me that the time was perfect to embark on my dream. I was an empty nester. My parents were still independent. One daughter was at university, and the other one had graduated and was working. They were saavy young women living together and following their dreams. My grant-funded job had come to an end. My lease was up on my car. I had no new prospective jobs. And so, I followed my heart. I sold or gave away most of my belongings to travel around the world. It was not easy to let go of my home and memories I had collected along the way. But this was major. It was one of my lifelong dreams. So I did everything necessary to make it happen.
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??
When I’m not coaching courageous women, my commitments are: health and wellness, quality time with family & friends, ongoing self growth and transformation, travel, scuba diving, time in nature, and my short term rental property
